Time

Time.
We try to control every aspect of our life, the one thing that we can't control no matter how hard we try is time.  It's steady as a beating drum and goes on no matter what happens.
Sometimes it seems like time is speeding up and moving way to fast. Other times it slows down and you stare at the second hand wondering why the seconds take minutes to go by. But, there is this one moment, where time is perfect. It's almost like it is in unison with your beating heart.
That moment is when you are infinitely happy.
For me, when I am with my family or friends having a wonderful time, if I just stop thinking about the movie we are watching, the joke that is being told, or the food that is being served I can feel this overwhelming feeling of happiness. Usually, I will look up out a window or at my hands. when I do so, everything that has been in my mind jumbled, goes away.
Time is perfect as I look at the faces of the people I love and realize how blessed I really am. Yet, time did not change.
It was my heart and my mind.
If we just slow down and try to appreciate the things we have and just try to enjoy life, time will be perfect.
Not too fast, not too slow.
Just perfect.

This is something I wrote a couple a couple weeks ago. :)

Peace out guys <3

Courtney...

Court is one of my absolute best friends in the whole world. Seriously, I love this girl!! We have never had a fight and we both totally understand each other. I have many best friends, and court is one of them. I am so thankful for her in my life!

She and I have so much fun together, one of our favorite things that we do everyday is take hilarious pictures. I am going to share some of these with you today.

Courtney and I can make the BEST ugly faces. But I
am going to save you the horror and
only show you a couple!

Broken hearts...

Heart breaks, everyone has them... and let me tell you. They suck! A while ago I really liked this guy and I saw pictures of him on Facebook with some friends and he was in a couple of these pictures with a girl. It pretty much killed me. Stab right through the heart.

It can be really hard to deal with a broken heart but there are ways to make your self feel better about it.

  1. Get rid of negative thoughts. This one can be a toughy... sometimes you think about the person and just hate them. Now, heart breaks are just apart of life. I totally understand that it hurts but plotting revenge is not ok. You need to deal with your thoughts appropriately  sometimes the person didn't mean to do what they did. Understand how the other person may have felt or how they feel now.  You also need to get rid of bad thoughts about your self too! This is a big one. Don't ever think "I just wasn't good enough for him" "He hates me." "I will be forever alone" "I should just give up" Uhhh.... NO! Stop thinking that right now. You are an amazing person, it was just time for you both to move on. It can be really hard sometimes.
  2. Surround yourself with good friends. Have good friends with you that love and support you. You need them now more than ever!  A big no no: Never gossip about your ex because it will spread like fire. Everyone will know and guess what? It will cause more drama and I'm sure that's the last thing you need. Just have fun with your friends! Don't whine all the time, be the same you. I understand that you may be upset but don't take it out on your friends. Hey, if you need to have a movie night with your girls and you need someone to cry with. Go for it, but don't over do this. You need to move on and be happy! Joke and laugh with your friends. Get that person off your mind and smile!
  3. Listen to music. A couple sad songs? Sure go for it. T-Swift? Sure! But, after a couple of sad songs turn up the music and blast some happy tunes!! Don't be all sad... your just torturing yourself. Phineas and Ferb soundtrack is one of my favorites. It's funny and silly. Perfection! So grab some friends, turn up the volume, and dance your little hearts out.
  4. Be kind. Be kind to your Ex, your friends, your family, strangers! Just be kind!! Just because you had a rough day it doesn't mean you should have harsh feelings towards anyone. You need to be nice to the person who broke your heart because, chances are, they feel awful about it. Just be kind, become friends again. I promise it will pay off in the end.
  5.  Relax. Just calm down, take a deep breath, and relax. Watch a funny movie, take a nature walk,  paint your nails, brush your hair. Just do something that relaxes you!
  6. Realize your not alone. Many people have heartbreaks all the time!
Here are some songs that kinda helped me through sad times. But remember to get out the fun songs after, ok?? No pity parties here!! :)

Oh, high school...

Today, I'm not going to do my usual blog post about how to make your life easier or about Christ. So bare with me, this might get interesting

Oh... High school. The time full of experience, drama, (hopefully not) and for some people, romance. Each person has a different experience with high school. Most say it was the best time of their entire life. And, I agree. High school is pretty dang amazing!

A huge part of high school is crushing. Many people react differently when they like someone. Some, may tell the person and others will avoid them entirely.

I am in the middle of those two categories. I never ever ever tell the guy that I like that I like him. I get way to nervous! I don't completely avoid him either. I more so just try to be a good friend. Pretty pathetic, huh? :)

But there is a method to my madness... I mean if I decide that it's weird that I like him because we are such good friends of something like that, I'm good. I don't have to tell him I don't like him because he doesn't know. I can live life normally, plus I get a great new friend out of it. Win-win.

Now, on the flip side... How do you react when you find out someone likes you? I mean, sometimes you can tell by the way they act around you, but they don't necessarily tell you. Other times, they just come right out and say it. In times where this has happened to me I'm always like "what? Wait... Me? Taylor, right?" It's a total surprise! I'm like "what the crap!?" Personally, I hate it when guys like me because I feel the pressure to always look good and stuff. Completely crazy, I know. I usually tend to forget the reason that he may have liked me in the first place. Which was because I was me. Maybe he liked that I didn't care how my hair looked or because I laughed at stupid things or because I didn't wear a tons of makeup. I mean, why should I change!? But, being a teenage Girl I always believe there is room for improvement. So rule of thumb ladies, don't change! Stay the way you are.

Just for laughs... I "mustache" you a question! :) haha, I hope everyone has a good day. Remember to smile!

Organize, baby

As many of you may know, I love to stay ORGANIZED. I can't think straight when papers are strung everywhere. At the beginning of the year I went to a friends house to do homework. I got all my binders out and made the mistake of pulling out all my assignments from 5 separate classes and sitting on the floor. Not even 15 minutes later I had papers everywhere, I kept losing my calculator, pencil, binder, and phone. I was extremely frustrated and I kept switching to different assignments because I couldn't find a thing. Math equations, poems, and laws of motion ran through my brain, I couldn't think straight at all. After a half hour of suffering, I gave up.

That is how frustrated I get when things are out of place. I mean, I'm human. Sometimes I don't put away bobby pins, or hair brushes, or don't make my bed. But, it does drive me crazy!!

I believe in the concept of "There is a place for everything, and everything should be in that place." Just watch, when I have my own family, my house will be so insanely organized.

So, the point of me writing this blog post is to help all of you realize how much easier life can be when you are organized and how easy it is to become organized.

On pinterest, I have a board called "Organization" any home-owners or OCD people like me need to take a look at it! Just click the link "My pinterest" at the top and check the board out. :)

Here are some of my favorite things I have found:
*note: these are not my ideas. They are things I have found off of pinterest that I find clever and genius*

I know what you might be thinking.
"Tay. You're Cray-Cray. You want me to organize INSIDE my freezer, with baskets and labels!?!?"
But, trust me, this idea is beyond genius!!

Makeup organization
Everything is out in the open and nothing gets hidden

Kitchen organization
Use drawers and bins to organize flour, sugar, baking soda, nuts..ect!
The only thing that could make this idea even better, is labels!

Bathroom organization
this is so cute and functional.

Car organization
This is genius!!
This mom has EVERYTHING you made need in a split second if you have kids.
I will have one of these in my mini  van when I have kiddos :)

Instead of using valuable drawer space put aluminum foil
inside a cabinet.

Labels, I am obsessed with labeling everything!
My favorite labels are the ones that are chalkboard so that you can erase and write something new when things change.

Pantry organization
As you can see, I love this because there is
labels, shelves, and bins.

Use a silverware tray to organize toothbrushes
and keep
them off the counter.

This is, by far, my favorite one
Any high school student, or college student needs to check this one out!
Staying organized with school work

Please check out my pinterest and follow me! :)

*One of my favorite blogs is "I heart organizing." It is beyond amazing!! It is one of the links I have at the top, check it out. I promise you won't be disappointed!*

Thank heaven for good friends!

Thank heaven for good friends....

I am so thankful for all of the good friends i have in my life that point me in the right direction and keep me happy!  I am human, I make mistakes, Sometimes I'm grouchy and lazy. Other times I'm bubbly and happy.

Last week I wasn't really having a good day, you know how those are. Anyways, I have this friend that reminded me that with god, everything is possible.  I had forgotten that if I trust the Lord and follow him, I can succeed in life.

She expressed to me how incredibly important it is to start and end every single day in prayer and scripture reading. I have been working on doing both of those consistently and I realize how true it is! After I pray, I get this overwhelming feeling telling me that it is the right thing to do.  I am so thankful to that friend for showing me the power of prayer!

I am thankful for my best friend of all time. My mom!
My mom is so funny and kind and cool. She and I are practically twins. We look the same, laugh at the same stuff, and think the same things. Seriously, wish I could take my mom to school with me. She is so funny!!!

I am thankful for friends that make me laugh and smile every single day.

I hope you all make a choose good friends that lift you up!

Christ, our Savior

Jesus Christ is our Lord, our Savior, our Redeemer. I love it when my seminary teacher talks about the many glorious names of Christ. Here are some of my favorite:

Friend
Savior
Redeemer
First born
Beloved
son of God
Chosen
Comforter
Corner stone
Christ Child
Eternal
Everlasting
King
Messiah
Lamb of God
Master
Prince of Peace
Prophet
The good Shepherd

My favorite, personally, is "First Born". My daddy passed away when I was 13 years old. He had a special nick-name for all us kids. Mine was "First Born In The Wilderness" Just like Nephi! When he would right me notes he would address it to "My little first born in the wilderness" I loved it when he would call me that.  I love that Christ has that name because I feel like it connects me to my dad and Christ in a way.

My point for writing these names is to have you think about which name provides you with the most comfort. Some people may feel alone or lost so the names "friend" and "The good shepherd" may provide them with the most comfort. Others may like "Savior" or "Redeemer"

Choose which name means the most to you and when things get hard or you feel alone and unloved, just think: The Lord loves me. He is my eternal friend and my comfort. He is the light and Life of the world and he will not leave me stranded.

Christ is always there for you, my friends. I hope you feel his love wrap around you! I have a testimony of the savior. I know that if I follow him, I can return home to my Heavenly Father. <3

Love ya guys :)

I aim to inspire

Pinterest, as many of you know, is my guilty obsession. Some of my favorite things to pin are inspiring and happy quotes. I am going to share a few with you today :)

It may seem hard sometimes to have faith when things get hard. But faith is one of the only things that can pull you through!

It can be so hard to love people that can be rude or distant.
But those are the people that really need the love!

Be confident and modest!

I love Jack Sparrow!
This quote is so true, you choose how to react to situations.
Make a correct choice

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, baby.

Thou shalt be happy!

I know how hard it can be to be happy when things get hard, but there are many reasons to be happy!

Now, I'm not a perfect person. I admit to sometimes being down or unhappy at times. Sometimes you just feel bad about yourself, but what's the fun in that?

Bring sad is.... Sad. There is no other way to describe it! Sometimes you think to yourself "I don't want to be happy. I'm mad and upset." But, preventing yourself from putting a smile on your beautiful face is stupid!

When you are sad, others around you may get annoyed or grumpy or sad as well. Why would you want to pass your negative feelings on to other happy people?

Happiness is freedom. Complete freedom. You feel on top of the world like nothing can stop you. You aren't vulnerable and out of step when you are happy.

Think about this. Why? Why are you sad? Am I doing this for attention? Or has a real tragedy occurred that has called upon sad feelings? Am I doing it because I'm in a bad mood? Is there reasons for me to be happy? (Of course there is!!!)

Change your mood, put a smile on your face and get rid of that sour expressions. No one. I repeat NO ONE. Likes being around a sad grumpy person. Honestly when people are sad or grumpy I want to punch them in the throat. (Not literally!!!!) but, you get what I mean.

Unless you have a completely logical reason for being upset, change that expression!

A logical reason for being sad would be a family member or friend dying or a big fight with your friend or failing a test. When you are really sad you should want to bring your friends in close and be happy in the end. You just want to have a comforting moment. When you are looking for attention through sadness you will push people away, fake smile, be rude, ignore people. If you fall under the "attention sadness" category, then knock it off! Be happy, stop pouting and smile!!!

Being happy is great thing! I feel so alive and wonderful when I'm happy! Just, smile and give someone a hug. It's not hard!

Peace out guys, be happy and have a wonderful life! :)
